It wasn't until after I married my ex (Croatian lady) that I learnt that in continental Europe they have different tyres on their cars for Summers and Winters (yes I know I was a bit slow on that one).
Do English councils not have snowplows? My council has a truck that acts as a salter and a snowplow at the same time.

I haven't seen it pass my house in about a year though. It's been extremely mild as of late.

Most gritters have the plough on the front, but I've never seen one being used.

Yeah, snow ploughs have gone up my street before. They're based at my local park. I remember taking some pictures of ploughed snow in 2013, I'll try to dig them out (no pun intended).

They're utilised every year here.

You have enough snow "every year" for snow ploughs to be used?

NI is about as bad for snow as SE England. Not surprising given they share similar winter temperatures.

I live in Southern England, they get NO snow, just what Easthome alluded to earlier. NI received some snow about a month ago.

What snow has most of England received in this mild winter? None?
