Unfortunately, I don't think we will even get a flake here. Scotland and NI clearly will get a bit, but us in the East, and down in the South East will get nothing. It's not even forecast to be that cold here either, just a couple of degrees below average. Average here for January is 6.9/0.8C, and we're forecast 3/-2C...

I know. I'm going to enjoy it while I can. It's like pulling teeth to get snow down there.

When do you go back?

I'm genuinely rather envious of your forecast. I really wouldn't be surprised if you get a good few inches of snow. The Met Office ALWAYS underestimate when it comes to stuff like this too.

Some guys in Kent on another forum have been posting weather images from years gone by.. and damn, Kent was probably the snow capital of England at one point. They used to get so much snow on easterly winds. The North Sea used to act as a conveyor machine with cold air passing over warm water.

Not so much these days because easterlies don't happen as much as they used to. Who knows why.

Just after the snow arrives, Sunday.

I'm expecting about 10cm; depending on how unstable the air mass is. I need continuous showers to keep temp near 0c.

We experience historical moments... It snows in Ionian Sea and Aegean Sea and Athens and Thessaloniki at the same time!!! Unbelievable! Each region of these has snowfall with different weather patterns and they can't have snow at the same time!!! This low pressure is magical!

Yup they're coolish for some places... not very cold, but coolish. Nothing noteworthy. Did I say that?

For Almería 6.1ºC is kinda cool.

Anyways, I've just put the last minimums of today in those places just for information...
