I'm not a cold lover, but I find it funny that once again most of Europe is seeing extreme cold, all the meanwhile we seem to be immune to anything interesting. Just like in the past summers where anything interesting has stopped short at the channel. Don't come here if you like interesting weather
On the other hand its nice to get up as late as possible and drive to work without having to put on lots of layers, shovel snow or de-frost your car.

It hasn't even been that sunny, it's only been average.
Last year just had a very cloudy Autumn and early winter.

December was sunnier than average for most of England. Between 130-150% of the average for this part of the world. Very dry and mild to boot. I prefer cold weather and snow, but anticyclonic weather is a good second best. Anything is better than endless rain and flooding.

December here had 55 hrs of sun vs the average of 52. That's 106% of average, but doesn't show on that map.

The first third of January has seen average temperatures, average rainfall and below average sun.

Heathrow must be a cloud magnet then. I think it's the chemtrails.

Snow blankets Athens, affecting schools but not public transport | News | ekathimerini.com

Wow

Meanwhile after a gangbuster start to winter the first 2-3 weeks of December, I haven't had snow for 21 days here, and broken last night by just a light dusting.. Today 8-10C with rain.

All of the UK has contrails that spread out and form a haze.

All you've done now is probably attract that retarded poster from the politics/great debates/conspiracy forum who thinks contrails are chemtrails.
