Temps in Europe... Below average in the Valencian Coast, above average at some parts of the interior of Spain and remarkable again in Bilbao & SW France:
Motril (official AEMET station) again having maximums closer to the Canary Islands than Europe, 20.8ºC today, 22.7ºC yesterday... too bad I don't have the data of the first 9 days of the month, but the high avg is being of 19.4ºC in January from 10th to 31th, while the minimum was 9.4ºC in the same period. That makes an avg of 14.4ºC.
Maximum was touched 3 weeks ago with 24.0ºC. From 10th of January to today, 12 days had a maximum above 20ºC in the AEMET station of Motril.
And judging the temps of nearby official stations is being a month very slightly above avg on nearby places... maximums are being just 0.2/0.3ºC above it in nearby AEMET stations of Málaga and Almería... although minimums are more above average. Avg highs: 17.18ºC on Almería (normal avg of 16.9ºC) and in Málaga 17.17ºC (normal avg of 16.8ºC). Data took from:

Well that's true...
also are seasonable maximums of 20ºC, as with the recent cold spell we had maximums of just 10-11ºC. In fact that makes the average of 17ºC, one day 14 and other 20 ... half of them is 17ºC.
I've had less than that total over the last month+ Brutal Chicago winters my ass...
That surprises me. It must be frustrating living somewhere with winters as cold as Chicago's, to then get next to no snow. How much have you had for the winter so far?

We got maybe 8 cm of snow this January...
