Above average in most of Portugal, most of Spain unless from the north of Valencia all the way to Murcia and north of Barcelona (Girona) plus some spots on the north of the interior; much above average in most of France, Belgium & west Germany with 2 locations reaching 16ºC. Also above average in Corsica and Sardinia another day in a row, & also was warm in eastern Sweden, Montenegro and Albania...
Who's betting on the GFS over the EC? All you mild winter weather fans hope that the GFS is right
Don't just look at the colors! I just checked that GFS run; 360 hours out it has -4°C temps at 850 hPa for my location, with the same pattern as in Ventrice's tweet. Lots of oranges and yellows on the z500 map but with the core of the high over the near Atlantic, the airmass is pretty chilly with winds from the north.
Conversely, the EC run would mean very mild weather from Poland eastwards, but also probably above average in much of western Europe with wet weather and mild SW'lies. The westernmost parts would most likely be cooler than average though.

Good point. I was mainly looking at the difference between the two models for Western Europe.
Updated definitive map of the maximums today in Europe... 1 place (Zaragoza) went from 17ºC in the other map to 16ºC in this one (I don't know the reason as the city reached 17ºC).

Same comment as before applies here (I extended it). Today's maximum temps in Europe...
Lol, you won't get will you ? 3c above average is normality but 3c below average is a record cold snap. That's how averages are made.
I forgot, how silly of me

You're right some weather forecasts also mention it and if you want to remark that, is ok.
But it is still above or below the average, that is the point, other people mention daily departures from average on here too, including yourself...
But I'm so pleased I have your permission to remark on it if I choose lol
I'm starting to think this winter looks quite a bit like 1997/1998... that would give us mild weather for the rest of february and well into april, then a cooler trend for the second part of the spring... of course this is purely based on weather experience.
Finally we will get some rain tonight.
Only 0.4 mm last 16 days here, 4 mm last three weeks.
