^^

Better than these huge mosquitoes that are biting even in the sun that we have here. With all the rain, it's been a perfect breeding ground.

Severe storms and heavy rains. Here some rain totals coming in from the overnight hours. South suburbs (where I live) under a flash flood warning

2.68" Manhattan (south suburbs)
2.44" Tinley Park (south suburbs)
2.14" University Park (south suburbs)
1.85" Soldier Field (Downtown lakefront)

Chicago sits at the epicenter of a corridor threatened by severe weather and thundery downpours; the atmosphere is in an explosive state | Chicago Weather Center Blog

For the last freaking time, our area WILL NOT be well below normal. Even compared to mid August last year, this polar vortex is nothing in terms of chill for any of the northeastern cities.

This year is 12th warmest on record. 66 yrs worth. Only 1 90° day but its been warm! 76.4° mean.

Cold front swinging towards U.S. Wish I had July afternoon temps in the 40s and even 50s! I'll even take 60s!

Will definitely cool it down, only 62F forecasted here tomorrow and low 70s next few days. If it was sunny I wouldn't mind it, but we will get rain tomorrow which will only worsen the mozzies.
