High was 85F/29C at ORD and 86F/30C at MDW today...

Hopefully after this mid week autumn spell, we may see some desperately needed 90 degree temps again, to make it feel like summer

This is basically a disastrous temperature forecast for midsummer

That, my friend, is the million dollar question. I've even looked the word up on the urban dictionary, and still can't figure it out. Software glitch? ********, Lytton, and Lillooet were 41C today. Kamloops, Osoyoos, and Pemberton were 40C today. It should be this hot again for the next couple of days, then the height of summer will be over.

Make these above normal temps stop please. Out of 13 days this month only 1 had a mean below normal.

Warm morning in the 70s!

This year to date (not including today) NYC has 13 days where the low stayed 70° or warmer.

Islip 8
Bridgeport 7
Boston 3

Last year by now Bridgeport had 16 by now which was the most on record to date.

I know July is the hottest month anyway, but the last few years, it's seemed like it's invariably hot with few breaks. Especially early July, as last year we got a break around the last week of the month. It seems like significant and/or extended negative temperature anomalies just can't happen here this month. Dreadful month really. August is better in every way, though not by much, of course.
