VERY hard for the immediate coast to drop into 50s in the summer. There has to be some very cold airmass above us.

Meanwhile some locations in the low 50s north of me in the state.

Thomaston 50°
Norfolk 52°
Danbury 53°
Litchfield 53°

Bridgeport (BDR) on the coast hasn't dropped below 60F/15.5C since 47 days ago June 22nd!

Current temps (from 6amOBS). Some local 40s out there. Bradford, Saranac Lake.. 5-15 below normal from DC northward

59 was the low here this morning as well. 59.0 to be exact. History : Weather Underground I'm further from the coast though. Lowest temp so far this month. We dropped into the 50s four times in July, but the lowest was only 57. It is indeed hard to get much lower. And people wonder why I find summer weather boring.

Had a low of 70 forecast for tomorrow night, which of course has already been downgraded. Par for the course in this pathetic excuse for a summer. 4 nights managed to stay above 70 since July 1.

My low was 63F, which is unacceptably cold for this time of year.

Because a few stations did record sunshine after 2001. In all of the Canada there were only 5 or 6 left as far as I know. 3 on the BC coast (Vancouver, Victoria, and Comox), 1 or 2 in Newfoundland, and 2 in Ontario. As of last month, the only place in Canada recording sunshine was Wiarton, Ontario.

That was my average low the month of July. In the 50s 8 times. Total bull****.
