Glasses fogged up for a second when I walked out of the airport. 78F at midnight. Lightning over the ocean every 7-8 seconds on the drive home.

I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Amazing this August is not yet below average because of the warm first week.. every day since had been 3C below average. We are on over 70mm of precipitation so already way above our August average.. this month reminds me a lot of 2007/2008 summer.. i.e awful and wet.

I want to see it over Europe for 4 consecutive months like we had from Jan 2014 to April 2014. And with -30F anomalies.

Another Anomalous Storm from Rockies to Hudson Bay this weekend.

To keep this simple... Any precip on the left under the blues on right is snow at 10,000+feet. Wonder if the Rockies see snow at the peaks. This is saying Montana snow way up there.

That was for Saturday afternoon.. And here's Sunday afternoon. Maybe snow levels drop to 6000' somewhere in Canada. It's below freezing 9000 feet over North Dakota.

2 things...

1. High Pressures will drop down behind these storms so if it gets cold enough over Canada, Frost will be coming soon into the U.S

2. Keep an eye on the snow cover/pack that could start to build in Canada. That is always one key for cold U.S winters. If these storms continue... we'll likely see snowpack building soon
