The lake at our summer cottage averages in around 24-25C/75-77F in July-August, and it's perfectly nice. Of course it's in a forest, so wind is not a factor. At an ocean the cool winds can make a difference, and not feel that warm at all. And waves of course.

Today was a nice summerlike day. 21C/70F and a good amount of sunshine.

Let's see the results in Florida and deep south. I experienced both the absolute minimum and maximum in Daytona Beach so far this year (31/96 F, respectively).

EDIT: Missed that it hit 97 the day after I left. Close though, and 96 is very hot even for there. Last time DAB was over 95 prior to last month was 2012, and then this year it was exceeded twice in one week.

You remind me of the guy from South Carolina I used to work with that came up to NJ one summer. He went into the ocean and went right back out, mind you the temps were around 74F. He asked me jokingly who put the ice cubes in the water, lol.

You would never be comfortable swimming at my local beaches then cause we average out at 75-77F in summer. Never 80f. Helps kill hurricanes though.
I maybe exaggerated a little, although the air temperature and humidity would need to be fairly high for me to enjoy cooler water.
75-77F with your highs and dew points would probably feel alright. I don't go into the sea often anyway, even if the sea is really warm. I've never ever enjoyed the sea here, but many people do. Its just not for me.

28 days and I'll get my week of heat and nice warm water.
