The Seattle area of the USA has the most depressing weather in the world, just awful
Nuts, i would kill a million worlds to have clouds and no temps over 80 from May till Oct. I have the worst weather in the U.S. jess from May till Oct. Dew points that make any other place blush. I hate solid sunshine day after day with no rain.
Most depressing in world? Good grief. If lack of sunshine, cool to chilly temps and lots of rain are the qualifiers, PNW isn't nearly so extreme as coastal Alaska, Patagonia, parts of New Zealand and even places in northern Europe.
I would disagree with NZ locations - while there are some wet locations, they are still typically as warm or warmer, and as sunny or sunnier than the worst the PNW has.

Yep, they might not be good climates, but they aren't the worst either.

If you're here now, bad timing. Coldest couple of days for a long time. May here was the warmest or warmest equal on record - data soon - and the sunniest since 1938. Marked by a big reduction in the number of cloudy "spoiler" days with N/NW flow, and by many dry sunny ones with light W/WSW.

Remember the world has Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, India, SE Asia or the Amazon jungles where it's always 30°C with a RH around 80%. Like the world from Predator.
The world has also Siberia, Greenland, Antarctica, Canada, Svalbard, etc. and such places with terrifying cold, unliveable climates.
Ofc when I say Africa or Canada I'm not saying the whole continent or the whole country but much of their area.

Yeah I'll classify Tasmania as the worst in Australia (where i live) and i meant the cold, mountains parts of patagonia/ushuaia. These days i would change it to Far eastern coastal russia (Magadan or Sakhalin), very cold with strong seasonal lag and rainy summers.
Painting the whole of Africa as hot and humid is stupid. I know in the west we think that Africa is one big place that's all the same but there is huge variety there from desert to alpine in the highest elevations. Indeed, some of the most populated cities are up in the mountains where they have a pleasant subtropical highland climate; nowhere near hot and humid. Check Addis Abba, Asmara, and Maseru, to name a few.
I know quite well that Africa is very varied, and I didn't paint is as hot and humid. Half of Africa is made by desert badlands, terrifying hot deserts or scorching sabanas. Then another good bunch of Africa is formed by extreme jungles.
At the same time, they have one of the best bunch of climates in the world in South Africa, a blessed land. Coastal Namibia is pretty good too and much of coastal Morocco as well. But in overall, Africa is quite bad in my honest opinion. More than half of the continent has very opressive climates, that's why a good bunch is completely uninhabited.
He is just a hater, I don't even take him seriously. Notice how he said the Seattle area? So the Vancouver or Portland or Olympia area don't have the most depressing climate. Just the Seattle area .
No, I just dislike the gloomy & wet depressing mess that is Seattle. My opinion, yours is not biased at all
