No brainer... Marseille. Akureyri while mild for the latitude is an absolute climate fail.

Akureyri. Having lived here for most my life and in between in wayy hotter places. Sunshine in abundance-in summer, calm winds..humid...not too hot even at 25-30 c max it still feels comfortable. Clean air...mild winters with the occasional exciting storm and 2 meters of snow. Next day sun and warm. Nothing boring about the weather here.

Akureyri for certain.

Much more comfortable summers, snow, and it looks like a nice cloudy climate

Akureyri. It has trash summer and sun hours but it has far better winters and much more snow. Slightly better, since Marseille summers are better than I would think, a very nice climate for retired people climate for sure it has Southern France (like Northern-Central coastal Italy, Portugal and Northern Mediterrean Spain).

Akureyri by far !!! With a good whale blubbler diet, Akuryeri is actually very manageable. Marseille is too cold when the mistral is blowing.

0.01 second glance at the title made the decision for me.
