I record indoor temperatures for the only room I heat in my apartment (the other rooms are about 5°C colder). These are the averages for Feb, March and April:

Feb
Low: 13.1°C
Av: 15.4°C
Hi: 17.6°C

Mar
Low: 14.7°C
Av: 16.6°C
Hi: 18.6°C

Apr
Low: 15.6°C
Av: 17.2°C
Hi: 18.8°C

I also track the cost of heating with a spreadsheet. It costs about £35 ($50) per month to keep temperatures at this level in the one room. Any warmer would cost a lot more. In the 7 months I have lived in this flat, the temperature in my room has only exceeded 20°C on one occasion, earlier this month.

I try to save as much energy as possible. Back in san Jose i never used the heater or AC.
my room temps would range from 55-65 in winter and during summer it would go from 72-94.
During the hottest summer days my room would get to about 94-95 on the day and cool to about 84 during the morning . And the coldest winter days it would get as low as 53-54 in the mornings but warm up to around 60 during the day. The cold extreme is kind of hard for me to deal with but im completely fine with the heat.
Here in phoenix i try to conserve energy as well. I dont need heater during the winters...my room naturally stays from 64to like 77. but in summer my room stays in the 90s. During the hot summer dayys I set my thermostat to 90 because the room could get well into the 100s and 110s and thats jus a little much...even for me!

Below 50: too cold for a room
50-60: cool, but I won't complain
60-70: mild, so I won't complain
70-80: warm, but I won't complain
Above 80: too hot for a room

Oh in terms of what i prefer...
less than 55....Too cold...need the heater
55-65.............Cold however, too cheap to pay for electricity
65-75.............Chilly but not bad
75-85..............Comfortable
85-90...............Ideal
90-95...............still on the ideal range but can get sweaty
95-105............Comfortable during day but too sweaty at night...use the AC during night
105+.............need AC

I and my parents like to save, which may explain my relative tolerance for the cold.
Winter
Below 50°F = Too cold
50~55°F = Cold
55~60°F = Chilly
60~65°F = Comfortable Where my thermostat is set all the time unless out and about.
65~70°F = Mild to warm
70~75°F = Too warm
Above 75°F = Extremely hot Feels as if I am running out of oxygen

In summer, if I'm simply sitting, I can take it up to maybe 83F. Sleeping, 79F tops. Normally set my thermostat to around 77F.

Summer: AC is at 80 F during the day and 75 F at night: most nights, we can open a window and cool off without AC (average night time lows are in the mid to upper 50s).

Winter: Heat is set to 65 F during the day and 60 F at night; almost always comes on at night from December through March but sometimes the days warm enough that it doesn't turn on until well after dark.
