I generally don't find it to bad, usually our temperature drops below 20C around sunset so if my windows are open I can get a nice breeze in sometimes. Tomorrow night will probably be quite unpleasant though, low of above 20C with humidity as well.. my room is going to be a sauna!

Yeah if you can cross-ventilate you'll cool down nicely a night. I wouldn't do it in an apartment that faces only one direction though (unless there's a fan).

I have a bathroom opposite my room which I open the window to as well and leave the door open, so usually there is a nice passageway of air coming in

Reached 29°C/84°F yesterday. Now 25°C/77°F. Warmer than ideal, but I still sleep like a baby. Due to the lack of climate control, my room has a continental indoors climate, went from 15°C to 29°C in 9 days.

My room temperature is currently 25C, but when I open the windows again soon it should drop a few degrees and be comfortable for sleeping! Unfortunately I have the lights on at the moment so I can't, do not want a swarm of bugs coming in!

On that note... does anyone know if a North-South cross would be the reason I don't get cross ventilation?

My garage and bedroom are West-East and there always seems to be a strong current. Meanwhile no breeze with the Dining Room & Living Room which is South-North.

I didn't think position of a home would matter until I realized this. If that's the reason. Could be all the tall trees around blocking any good wind coming in.

Surprisingly most German cities max temperature was so conspicuous last several days that even higher than Fayetteville, or the other Southern US cities.
Europe=Heat Wave/North America=Cold Wave

Currently 24.6°C. Great summer indoors temp, but mosquitoes have been fierce these two past nights. Not only the buzz, but the itch is making nights uncomfortable. I've worn a repellent-filled watch thingy last night but it didn't help much. Screens are the only option left. Can't be bothered yet, let's hope it will be better tonight.

Mine's north-south exclusively. Sometimes when there's no wind, leaving two windows open doesn't help much. Other nights, I need to prevent the doors from slamming. There are trees and buildings around, though neither are really tall.
