Wow! That's probably the highest in several years, isn't it?
Hjeltnes (Ulvik) recorded 34.6C some days ago, and the next day it recorded 37.8C....station not set up proberly and disregarded untill fixed.
The same station as today, Gulsvik, recorded 34.2C in 2009, so almost the same temp. We have to go back to 1991 when Nesbyen recorded 34.6C to get a higher reading.
Slightly warmer temperatures expected tomorrow, but there is a risk of clouds in the afternoon in SE Norway. Saturday also forecasted to be very warm, especially in the southernmost part of the country.
25.8C with a dew point of 22.9C at 22:00, which is also seemingly the high temp for the day, at an altitude of 1100 metres.
Strange, or perhaps incorrect?
I don't know the ins and outs of mountain climates and foehn effects but that looks very dodgy to me, even though some of the really high foehn effect temperatures in winter have happened at night before.
If you look at the graph on Weathercast the temp and dew point just go up to la la land in the evening and then suddenly drop way back to realistic levels at 11 pm, though strangely it doesn't give the actual values. The other sites in the area I looked at had a normal evening drop in temperature.
19ºC and cloudy. Severe thunderstorm warning ended but the watch still remains.
Looks like another storm is heading north towards us from Washington state.
Will keep posted in Summer thread
91 F, max of 98 F in LA. 100 F here in San Bernardino, max of 103 F
