Totally agree. Open space is where it's at.

Why don't you eat at Arby's (like we did yesterday)? No line, food was great, we were gone inside of 20 minutes.

I'm tempted to visit a Micky D's in Paris just to see how nice they are to American ones - I've heard the difference is out of this world.

And the CEO of McDonald's is scratching his head at why sales are going down, down, down. Hello? Get a clue dude - it's because your restaurants SUCK.

Yep. UK is a small country and I get we have small roads from years ago but it annoys me to no end when the government build new roads which are thin and put in thin car parking spaces.

There are alot of Audi's and Range rover Jeeps nowadays that take up two spaces and they wonder why.. I also HATE one way systems.

Yes we are a small country but there is still loads of space.

I think the government wants to deter people from driving. The less Range Rovers on the roads, the better.

American cities and suburbs are just much bigger and more sprawly. Chicago by US standards has a good mass transit system, but automobiles and a good expressway system is essential.

Even in car-crazy Atlanta, there's a shift in policy towards increasing mass transit - people are getting tired of getting stuck in endless traffic jams regardless of how wide the roads get. They're making plans to extend one of the Marta rail lines 12 miles, which will cost $200 million a mile.
