December 2010 was not a normal winter in NYC. We had a low of -18c and snow that lasted 5 weeks. Snow doesn't last 5 weeks in NYC.
It lasted for 6 weeks this winter in NYC, just under 5 weeks the winter before last (would also be 6 weeks if you could discounted one snow-free day in late January). Neither winter was typical but it does happen.

If talking about snow on ground, yeah, NYC did have 6 weeks in a row and like you said, if we counted the days without them and counted the total we can find 7-10 weeks as well

Usually when people mention historical weather without any other context they talk about the weather where they live, not a random place 300 miles away. You've been the forum long enough to know this, so clearly you're looking for an excuse to toss insults and start a fight.

Yeah but people in London do have this attitude that they are better than everywhere else.
Anyway just was saying that NYC winters aren't freezing and that the 2010 winter here anyway was far colder than a NYC winter.
