All I saw that unbrainwashed said was that Dublin is closer but not THAT much closer (which is true), he also said Cornwall is closer to NYC than Dublin is, which is probably true because the difference between Dublin and Cornwall is bigger latitude-wise vs. longitude-wise.
Owen said Ireland is pretty much right next to Boston, yeah right like 3,000 miles is something to scoff at just like Iceland is just a solid swim away.

I did not say that Boston was close, I said it is close for international travel, as in its only a 6 hour flight or less which is very very short for TATL.
It asked what the benefits of each country was so I listed them.
Yeah, I just saw that. That's my bad. But still an 84 mile difference when you're talking about 3,000+ miles isn't really that big of a difference either.
I agree that Ireland is closer, but I don't think it's THAT much closer to where an American would re-consider visiting England and visiting Ireland instead.

There is NO pre clearance facility in ANY British airport. PLUS, the terrible British government adds ridiculous taxes to the flight prices i.e £300 per family.
So it's 272 miles closer, but like I said when you're talking 4,000 miles, a 272 mile difference is basically next to nothing. The flight from here to Dublin is probably 10 hours instead of 10.5-10.75. Not enough of a difference to really consider it a "pro".
