I set it at 78. My fascist cheapo dad goes to bed and gets up early, so he had set it to go up to 82 while sleeping . While he's sleeping. I go to bed...a bit later..lol. I changed it so it stays at 78 all day and night.

Haha, my dad is the exact opposite. He has the temp set on 64-65 often times. It seems like he has the temperature tolerance of a polar bear. I sneak over to the thermostat and turn it up to 66-67 sometimes.

82 F that's inhumane....I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Not even Owen.

Me and your dad would get along pretty well.

Japan's saving energy policy in summer is "set ac at 28C" though... Thats 82 something as well!!! And summers in Tokyo are pretty muggy... like the SE US lowlands

Can't even imagine... when In Sukamandi with no AC the room was only like 78-80 F (26-27 C) with fan though

In Puerto Rico, most people are discouraged from using AC at all because the electricity rates are really high. AC is mostly used from 21:00-5:00, in other words, bedtime. Keep in mind that Puerto Rico has a tropical climate like Indonesia. I'm thinking this is also the case for most Indonesians as well, they can't afford to have AC turned on during the day, maybe even at night.

For mid-high class : AC is common

For lower class : fan, or sleep with open air (traditional house)

Electricity bill : 800k rupiahs or around US$60 a month, with 2 AC's on half or 2/3 the night, set at 18C and 21C each

I'd be happy never to experience another ****ing thunderstorm ever again. 11 is incredibly late. Even 10 is late. I feel horribly at that time anyway. I'm a morning person naturally, but I have to wake up at 5:30 every day. I tend to do the same on weekends... sometimes I end up sleeping till 6:30 on weekends... that's sleeping in for me.

I hate to be in bed while the best part of the day, the early morning, passes by.
