Roller coaster that spin you around half a dozen times aren't exactly relaxing. Neither is waiting on line an hour for them, either. Especially in the hot and humid Florida sun if there's little shade.

If a dew point of 50 and blue dome sky is your idea of summer, more power to you. I'm going to Florida in late July for some real summer weather, high humidity and cloud-to-ground lightning. Something that's a rare spectacle in Kentucky...

If you are 12 years old, then yeah you'll have fun.

Sitting and tanning doesn't appeal to me either, I need to be moving around and on my feet.

On a nice, cool day, with no crowds, theme parks can be a lot of fun. I actually like a good roller coaster myself.

But when it's 92 degrees + high humidity + thousands and thousands of tourists - nah, you couldn't pay me to endure that...lol.

And one thing I learned when I worked at the theme parks back in the day was how stupid people could be at the theme parks. Man, talk about being dumber than a sack of rocks - I was floored at the stupidity I witnessed on a daily basis...gaa.

Ok, but don't find it so weird that others wouldn't to go to Florida on vacation, especially in the summer. Also, NorthStarDelight's post is talking about what he likes, not what you like. Not what you should like. You criticize others tastes just as much:

He hates heat.

Well, you've said that a 60°F dew point is unbearably sticky. If that's too much what would you think of Florida?
