The truth of the matter is that the islands belongs to whichever country has the most military might. Britain has a superior military than Argentina, so they belong to Britain. End of case.
I'll leave the discussion at this point - I've stated my opinion, and I'll just leave it at that.
I just think it's a weird opinion.
Should Canada take over Alaska? After all it's right next to them..
Should Japan take over Hawaii?
What matters is the people that live there and what they want. Imagine if someone invaded your city because it was closer to Canada and told you that you were now a Canadian citizen, even though all of your city wanted to remain as US citizens. Would you find that fair?

Thing is, you gotta consider that the islands originally belonged to Argentina back in the 1800's, which is why they feel so strongly about them. They just wanted to take back what had been taken from them in the first place - is that not a reasonable position to take?
Also, 900 people died (on both sides) in a war to protect 1800 people. To me, this is more of a bummer than forcing the islanders to become part of Argentina or move back to Britain.
As for being close to Canada and being "annexed" by them - I'd say, go right ahead, as it'd mean I'd get some of that free medical care.

Doesn't matter. There's no one still alive from that era. That's water under the bridge.

No, that was so long ago that it's completely irrelevant for all practical purposes. What matters now is the Falkland Islanders are British and wish to remain so.

That's Argentina's fault for starting the war. How could you blame the UK for defending their overseas territory and not the corrupt Argentine military junta for trying to take what isn't theirs?
House prices in Leeds rose 7% year on year. Getting more expensive.
