It wouldn't work anyway. I can't see anyway to stop the smoking because so many people do it.

What they need to do is try and stop the young ones from taking it.. the whole campaigns and adds do not do a thing because everyone ignores it. Maybe if they take nicotine out.

I'm against it too. It would be hypocritical of me to support a ban on tobacco but support the legalisation of certain drugs. People can do what they want, as long as they're not hurting other people.

What an unproductive day for me. Didn't do any of the things I needed to do today.

I used to be like that, but now I look at the bigger picture and it motivates me very quickly. Especially after being in third world countries, and seeing children who could only dream of opportunities like we get in the developed world. I have been to some very poor areas and it is truly sad to see, while people here don't know how lucky they are.

Upsetting to begin, but happy in the end...

I haven't found a job yet and the car I had been spending a lot to keep on the road (about $1500 since I moved out here) crapped out on me (brake line connections at the master cylinder corroded through, all the lines are about to rust through, and there are two fuel lines in a similar condition) right as I was leaving for an interview. If it wasn't for my parents helping me out, I'd be on my way back Chicago in early January. Now I can stay out here until at least March (hopefully).

Sick and tired of living in this bloody hovel, it hardly ever snows and all it ****ing does is rain, rain rain. Infrastructure is crap and there literally nothing to do.

Get me out of this DUMP before I blow a gasket. I swear to ****ing god I hate this country and I wish that I wasn't born here!! I really really really hate it. I'm not even looking forward to going to England either because its just as bad there with rain.
I want SNOW.

It annoys me when my mum tells me to occupy myself to stop thinking about the weather but I shouldn't have to occupy myself, I should embrace where I live instead of hating it. My parents keep blabbing on about how Florida is not the same when you are working there, but so what you'd be working here, I honestly feel like i'd be such a happier person in Florida. Desperate to leave.

I am meant to have 3 exams this end of semester. Already finished two of them, on the 3rd and 5th of November. Next one's on the 14th. I just want it to end, all my friends have already finished

I have that awkward limbo feeling associated with waiting for your last exam, except it's lasted for a week and a half. It's complete ****.

It sucks being where you don't want to be - trust me, I've been there myself. Back in 2004 (right about now, actually), when I got news that I'd be able to leave Florida (yes, leave, I HATED the place,) it ranks right up there as one of the happiest days of my life. So yeah, I hope you can find your "paradise" whereever that may be.

Just a question, though - if you're so desperate for snow, why in the heck do you want to move to Florida? It seems that SE Michigan would be the place for you - awesome climate and so, so many things to do, even more so than Atlanta. It's a great place to work, where people can have solid, productive careers, and the people seem really happy there. And you'll get to see plenty of snow each and every winter. Summers are great too, nice and warm and SUNNY - what you prefer, if I'm not mistaken.

Florida, on the other hand is *no place* you wanna work. It's a bunch of mean, back-stabbing arseholes you don't want to be around for five minutes, let alone eight hours a day, five days a week. I couldn't be happier being away from there - ten years on, I'm still giving thanks to the big man upstairs that I don't have to live there anymore.
