Yeah, up here with some friends for the football. The locals seem to be in shirts or light jackets. I'm wearing a shirt, a hoody and then a wool coat over that, the fog has lifted slightly and the sun is out so it doesn't feel as cold now.
Before I went out first thing this morning I thought it "looked cold" outside because of the dense low cloud and gloom but actually it felt deceptively mild, and now it's above 10C for the first time in a while and brightening up. Another day when I don't need the heating on.

I assume morning clear skies in the winter = cold.

Obviously a blue sky morning would likely be colder than a morning on one of those overcast days with a random temperature profile where the daily high happens whenever it feels like it, but a proper blue sky morning would feel like such a novelty at this time of year my first thoughts wouldn't be about the temperature.

Can't relate. Now I got it. You were referring to the how much clouds, not having clouds. I posted my morning sky in the photo thread. Guess how cold it is.
NYC has two lows forecast this week of 10°C. Both with rain. Buffalo: Sunday high of 48°F, Sunday night / Monday morning low of 48°F.

In NYC? I don't see any sign of frost so it doesn't look cold to me unless there's a really low dewpoint of the kind I'm not used to, 40F maybe?
