I like taking my time with booze to better enjoy it. The only downside is by drinking beer, you'll be taking in more calories than you would be with liquor to reach the same level of drunkenness. Beer with a slightly higher alcohol content is great for this purpose.
Beer is delicious, too. I can't understand why anyone would dislike it. I can understand not liking beer the first time your try it, especially if it's watered-down beer. But it's not hard at all to start liking beer once you've had good beer. I like everything from pale lager to ale to porter and stouts. I've been drinking more dark beers lately. But maybe when summer comes, my tastes with shift back more towards lighter colored beers.
Watered-down, low alcohol content beer isn't good. Might as well spend an extra couple bucks on better quality beer.
Best beer I had was in Canada. It was called "Black" and was 8%. Not sure if it was a local brew or it's just not available here, but I haven't been able to find it at any liquor stores.
Florida has a bug humming that sounds somewhat similar to Thailand but much more subtle, which I enjoy (they are only out during summer). You can hear it in the background starting around 0:30:

I avoid the Politics forum because of this. The last straw was when several users were actually trying to make the case that the world and humanity were just suddenly "becoming more peaceful" due to a 20-year drop in crime in one country, and the fact that it isn't currently WWII.
They conveniently ignored the mountains of evidence I provided that show their theory is wrong, so I gave the hell up. It's mentally draining to argue with stupid people like that. Not even worth the time and effort.
