You could have. I know people who've worked that job (repairman). It's not an uncommon request.
Does the race or skin color of the repairman really matter? It wouldn't be worth the trouble.
P London interpreted what I said as racist, as he always does.
Gender Studies? LOL. Seriously?? I didn't even know you could get a degree in that.
I find it funny the same people who are judgmental towards FF workers are the ones who go in there and ask the dumbest questions.
I used to work at Cinnabon at the mall down here, and I've had people go up to me and ask if sell burgers and fries.
The same lady that asked that made a comment that I must not be very smart because I work there.
I told her she is in no position to judge my intelligence considering how stupid of a question she just asked me lol.
Needless to say she wasn't very pleased.
I think a lot of people go to college or university because it's what society expects of them, as opposed to actually wanting to do it.
Yes, you can. Or Women's Studies. Or something equally as dumb.
I'm happy to say that whenever I've worked in retail or catering, I've never been treated in such a disrespectful manner. How rude. Seems to me that customers in the US believe they are always right and can say whatever they want to employees.
I know smart people who work in 'low-grade' jobs. A few of them have mad bad decisions in the past and didn't end up there on purpose, and others are actually content with their lot and don't desire to work like a slave just to earn lots. Heck, I have a friend who got really bad grades in school, works at a supermarket, but he is one of the few people I know that I can engage in in-depth discussions with. He is probably the smartest guy I know. He just didn't put the effort into school, due to laziness - but he's happy and enjoys life. Then I see people who work in professional offices who act like dumbasses and don't know their ass from their elbow, work 12 hours a day to pay off their mortgage and generally lead miserable lives.

You were joking? A very poor stupid joke if you ask me.
