Heck i'll turn it on in the winter time if the sun is beating down and heating the car up too much.
I remember riding around with my uncle when it was mid 80s in this winter and we were fine with just the windows down. Of course it was pretty windy, too.

As long as it takes me to get my hair fixed the last thing im going to do is ride with the windows down
I'm a windows down guy. If it's not raining or snowing, I want the windows down so I can be a part of the world and not sealed up in a box oblivious to everything. Even if it's raining or snowing, I have the sunroof tilted up and a window cracked 4"
80mph on the highway and windows are down if it's not too cold.
Usually I put them up when I have passengers, but as soon as they step out of the car, windows down.
Ac usage depends on my comfort. If it's humid and I'm in traffic, I put it on. I'll leave the windows down however....unless it's really scorching out
Whenever I feel hot, I turn on my a/c. I do this in my house as well! Unless the ceiling fans take care of it. I really don't make note of the outside temp when I turn on the a/c, I just want to be comfortable.

Judging by your location where nights are in the low-mid 80's all summer long, I imagine you have already turned on the A/C. I still have the windows wide open, a breezy low of 51 F here . I am yet to use the A/C up here .
