This is not a joke. I know there is not a "huge" difference but given one is on the water (San Diego) and the other is about 15 miles inland (Los Angeles) there is a difference.

I think most people will pick San Diego but personally I prefer Downtown LA's slighty warmer days. San Diego is on the chilly side for me. Also, more sunshine in downtown LA...less fog than downtown San Diego. But I would not complain much with either......

Here are the average monthly highs and lows for both (temps in Farenheit):

Feb. 68-49
Mar. 70-51
Apr. 72-53
May 74-57
June 78-60
July 83-63
Aug. 84-64
Sept. 83-63
Oct. 78-58
Nov. 72-52
Dec. 67-47

Mean monthly sunshine (hours): 3,254

San Diego

Feb. 65-50
Mar. 65-53
Apr. 67-56
May 68-59
June 70-62
July 74-65
Aug. 76-66
Sept. 75-65

Los Angeles. I would not want to live in either of these rainless compost heaps.

Neither has a regular shot at freezing, so San Diego for the cooler summers. Still a D/E climate, though.
