As thread title says, how do you think May 2014 will turn out in your area relative to average.
I have gone through the model outputs for the UK and the next 7 days maximum temperature projection gives us an average high of 11.8°C to the 8th, which is colder than April's. Looking like another chilly May, eh?
I am thinking May will come in colder than average for the UK. More blocking to the north, and high pressure out west sending northerlies over us. Of course, May is a month that can see a sudden turnaround in weather, and we have reached the dizzy heights of 25°C before, on rare occasions. So who knows? But anyway, I'll stick with below average for my predictions. What about you?
A bit above average temperaturewise (about 1 to 1.5c), but I don't think we will reach 30c yet. The precipitation should be a bit below average (not much more than 50 mm) and the sunshine above average (about 250 hours).
Forecast for the first week of Gay has every day 1-4C below average and ofcourse cloudy with showers every single day. And it's only going to get more rotten from here. So yeah I went with below average.
