I give it an A. Summers are amazing, with nice shoulder seasons. The only drawback with this fictional climate is that it is too wet in winter.

C/C+ Summer is too hot, and also drier than preferred. Winter is milder than preferred but still reasonably cool and wet, and at least seems to get snow at times.

It's too hot and summer is too dry, but it gets a lot of snow considering how warm it is.

Is the storminess here like the Mediterranean or like California?

B+ if it gets a decent amount of storms. Summer highs are a bit too hot and summer is too dry, but otherwise it's an awesome climate.

The thunderstorms are most frequent in fall. October has the most thunderstorms. So, I'd say Mediterranean is it was based on a Med climate.

They average 6" of snow per winter but 32" of snow fell on January 28, 1959. The second-biggest snow was 12" on January 26, 2018.
