Do you prefer living in the country with 7pm latest sunset with 90F/32C high (Singapore, or a bit colder than Tokyo) vs 10pm latest sunset with 60F/16C high (Scotland, N. Ireland) ?
I prefer the first, because I don't like super-late sunsets and 60's is very cool for me.
I like a lot of the Japanese climates. Pretty much anywhere from Tokyo north is fine with me.
Northern Kanto Region's climate(especially far away from coastal cities) is very similar to Clarksville, TN where I lived and your location. Maybe smaller range of diurnal variations year round.
Having a late summer sunset is very important for me, so i'd rather take the 16°C high.
But i would take the choice 10 PM sunset, 24°C high even more so.
Bah the latter choice is rubbish! 16C is cold and the fact that it is the HIGH makes it even worse. I like to be active even when the sun is dark so 7 pm is fine by me. 32C highs sound nice as long as the d.p is no higher than 20-21 (16-18 is ideal).
10pm with 60F. I'll gladly take late sunsets if I don't have to deal with heat.
