Not the first time I read about rugby (union) being considered a posh sport in the UK. Maybe it was northerners. On this side of the Channel it isn't really considered posh. Instead attendance varies tremendously from a region to another.
Well, the class system is more about attitude than anything else. All countries have rich and poor, but people here just identify with certain classes depending on their upbringing. A person from a poor family who becomes wealthier in adulthood would probably consider themselves working class, even if they are economically middle class. Class systems aren't inherently bad. Middle class is literally just the middle earners. It's only bad if it ends up discriminating people.
