Lovely looking! Looks like a very nice place to swim. Nice, clear water. I bet it's really warm too.

In the news today: youngster vigilantes catch mugger.

A junkie mugged a 80-year old grandpa in SE Finland, the 7 young ones saw this as they were hanging outside a grocery store. They ran after the junkie and wrestled him down until the police came 15 minutes later.

Seems that the younger generations aren't a lost cause after all. These kind of news always make me happy.

Have to go to work in a bit.. but for once I actually found somewhere where I enjoy work

I don't like having to wear a jumper and trousers when the temperature outside is nearly 28C and there is no a/c inside, though..

Yes it's beautiful, very shallow water across the lagoon, you can almost walk across to the smaller island of Cominotto if you are tall enough & very warm, the sea temperature here at the moment is 25C, but in the lagoon it is closer to 30C

It finally got to 25.0C here today. Beautiful-looking orange horizon out there now in a completely cloudless post-sunset sky, though it's noticeably getting dark earlier these days than what I've got used to.

THE POSSIBILITY IS THERE

2:06 PM PDT Wednesday 23 July 2014
Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
North Okanagan - including Vernon
South Okanagan - including Penticton
Severe thunderstorm conditions possible - afternoon to after midnight.

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and torential rain.

A low pressure system approaching the BC Interior is producing thunderstorms today and tonight over the southwest interior, Columbia, and Kootenay regions. These thunderstorms have the potential to become severe generating extremely heavy rainfall with local amounts of 25 to 50 millimetres in a few hours or less.

Please note the following...

...A watch means there is potential for severe storm development over a broad area.

...A watch is upgraded to a warning when severe thunderstorms are imminent.

Rapidly rising rivers and creeks can sweep away bridges, culverts, buildings, and people. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Stay indoors when a thunderstorm strikes. There isn't a place outside that is safe during a thunderstorm.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to pacificstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #BCStorm.
