How can you say that if you haven't checked the local Met Office website? Just because another site gives different numbers doesn't mean Wiki is wrong. I've seen a lot of bogus stats on other websites.
Though winter averages 4.1°C in both cities. Leon is cooler during the rest of the year, but not in winter (chillier nights but milder days than Lyon). Over the 1961-1990 period, Lyon had 20 days with snowfall per year (just snowfall, not necessarily accumulating). Probably much less nowadays. Leon currently (1981-2010) averages 11 "dÃas de nieve" (not sure if it's the same definition as Meteo France's). Maybe similar to what Lyon gets?
This is a tough one for me. León is a bit too dry and perhaps a bit monotonously sunny during the summer, while Lyon's summer nights are too warm and muggy and it's a bit dull during the winter. Both though are B+, quite good climates overall, and a climate with leon's temps and lyon's precip would merit an A/A-. I think I'd narrowly choose Lyon due to its lushness.
It's a tie. León for more sunshine and Lyon for more precip and slightly warmer temps.
