Am I the only one that doesn't consider September a Fall month? It does have its Fall-like days, but it's still quite warm. The same kinda goes for December, which has Fall-like days, but is mainly cool/cold.
First half of September I usually still count as summer.. the second half depends on the year, last year we stayed above 20C most of the month which was nice
Yeah the first half of September is definitely still summer especially in Southern England don't know about further North. Wish we get some snow this winter but that's far of.

I think it is pretty unlikely we'll be as mild as last year without any snow.. normally we get at least one event a year

Not the only one.. I think October is still warm too. LOL. But I think September is more fall like than December. But each area and person will feel different I guess.. Leaves change colors in September in many areas just like some get blooms in March in many areas. So going by meteorological seasons is always a good base.

Interesting, our leaves don't really change colour that much in September.. it's mid October where you start to really notice any difference, and early November before they really start falling

Mine "start" mid-end of September but noticeable early October and peaking mid October.
Do you still get snow and cold in March? I get tulips and greener grasses and blooms. So I wouldn't consider March a winter month.
You reminded me... Good to have...
Here's a leaf "peak" map for the U.S. Peak meaning it's been changing for at least couple weeks before this.
