Rain before 3am, then rain, possibly mixed with sleet between 3am and 4am, then rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet after 4am.

Nasty storms causing a messy commute in ATL right now. There will be an overnight freeze, which most likely means ice day tomorrow if the rain water does not dry out fast enough.

Speaking of November... Most of us remember last winter but not many remember November.

Heres a look at November 2013 temp departures vs November this year so far.

Many are in Top 20 coldest Novembers this yr. Like Little Rock & Oklahoma City and they go back to late 1800s.

Rainy, gloomy day here today. Tomorrow's high temperature is forecast to be 31F! A subfreezing high this early in the season would be quite remarkable.

To nitpick, not exactly a fair comparison. Shorter time periods will always be more variable. Of course, the next week isn't going to be much warmer so the month overall might be as cold as that map suggests.

Cold rain today. Upper 30s. Half an inch of rain overnight to this morning. Precipitation was unfrozen the whole time.
