Somehow I doubt that it will be that far southern in Missouri. SPC isn't even taking it that far. I expect some thunder but nothing terrible. The trough is expected to go over just north of the area. Of course that can change.

Those Northeast lows from a few days ago sure sounded enticing. Nothing like this here, but still nice and warm in large swathes of the country today, though stormy in the southern half:

Dew point, guess what's the driest lowland station after Dunkirk? Yeah, Orly.

Humidex map, can't help it

It's been so nice today plus looking at what could be coming, I'm getting excited. 528 thickness in southern Quebec next week????? Is the Polar air getting stronger? Will we start to see a snowpack in Canada grow at a very fast pace? Will Ice road Truckers or Mountain Men be filming during a hard winter again?

Anyway...

Here's latest Euro snow total map next 3 days. It's off 10:1 ratios so right away lower the totals. Bottom line... cold enough to snow in those areas?? We'll see.

High was 77F/25C at ORD and 79F/26C at MDW today in Chicago under partly cloudy skies. My suburb reached 78F/26C

Ingredients coming together for some severe weather on Wednesday

The free fall into hell (winter) is beginning, the sunsets are coming noticeably earlier and our nights are getting cool.
