I thought that was your photo for a sec. Not sure about tonight, have to check...

It appears the main wave of energy passed over the Earth's Magnetosphere around 0:00 UTC 9/13 (6pm Mountain Daylight Time) earlier this evening...the same time you can see the red in the image. It appears we just missed out seeing the aurora by 6 hours"

They missed nothing, I was awake and that red was near me and it was pitch black.

Ok, so the visible time was only for a moment here in the extreme south, and it was quite cloudy and foggy. Also light pollution dims them quite a bit. Here's a small picture from Tampere, the light pollution makes them quite bleak:

A dew point of 73 F. And with has been tropical for a while here. Really want some releif.

Keep in mind, this is a double-pane window, and the mist is on the outside which means it's as humid as **** out there.

70's / 50's coming next week?

THE GFS BRINGS AN ARCTIC FRONT ACROSS THE REGION ON
WED WHILE THE EC HOLDS IT UP UNTIL THURSDAY NIGHT. EITHER WAY
GUIDANCE IS SHOWING 850 MB TEMPS DROPPING BELOW 0C. THIS WILL KEEP
TEMPS WELL BELOW AVERAGE IN THE 60S RESULTING IN CRISP FALL LIKE
TEMPS.
