Vancouver hasn't officially hit 90°F this year (it rarely does), however a number of inland suburban locations did hit and exceed that mark a couple weeks ago during the heat wave we had.

LOL that's the last day it's gotten to 90 in central MA too! But it dropped ~10 degrees each of the next couple days. On the 14th, the high was 64!

Same here! 9/11/13 we hit 95 degrees and the last of 3 days in the mid-90s. Two days later on 9/13/13, it was just 69 and dropped into the 40s overnight.

None at all in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The highest temperature this year was 30.9 C (87,4 F) in May. June was cool with the hottest temperature being 25.4 C (77. 8 F) and the highest temperature in July so far was 27.8 C (82 F). Although July is the warmest month, we typically see our hottest days in August due to lower dewpoints at that time of year.

That's interesting because here in BC we almost always see our hottest days in July. August might average about same, but that's only because it is more consistent (less cool days like we often get in early July). August can see the hottest days of the year, but so can September (which was the case 2 years ago) and May. It seems like when everyone else on the continent is having bad weather we are getting great weather. Such is the case this year with the hottest heatwave since the record setting one from 2009.

I fear the OP has doomed us now. We are moving the first week of August and now I know it will be 90 + the whole time ;-)

We hit 91 yesterday but on 89 officially so we've glided by so far. I have an odd feeling we're going to have hot weather in the fall....

See what I mean. You guys get opposite weather as us. We are expecting the coolest stretch of summer today and tomorrow with our first rainfall of the month.

I'm not quite sure, but where I live (Buffalo / Niagara, NY) rarely reaches 90 degrees, especially near the lakes. I would suspect the same to be true of the Canadian side as well.
