15°F and lightly snowy out, doesn't feel that bad with short walks and a heavy coat. Yesterday evening was brutal: 18°F but 22 mph wind.

Massive temperature drop as you go up the east coast.

81F (27C) in Miami and 6F (-14C) in Bangor.

The most rapid drop occurs along the Virginia coast as there is a front sitting there.

21F (-6C) with light snow on central LI.

Btw -25°C 850 mb temps over Wisconsin. That's not something we would see here... And I assume that it's rare in New England as well.
Some high pressures will arrive in the Great Plains

The temp drops like a rock as soon as the sun sets, when the sea breeze abates and offshore wind picks up. It was already below 10°C/50°F at 8 pm at Nice airport! Brrr...

Also an extremely cold 0°C/32°F this morning at work. Yuck.

I'm surprised at myself to be writing this, but I'm actually enjoyed this cold weather. 16°F this afternoon with sun and light to no wind. If I was out for a long time I'd probably mind, but it was pretty out and not that uncomfortable. Happy we got some snow — very cold weather and bare ground looks wrong and is a waste. Other benefit is none of the snow melts, so it's dry instead of messy.
