Cold air coming in following rain/snow/sleet storm. Was 18°F at sunrise, 32°F at 2 am. Another shot of cold air, forecast high is 19°F, with some colder forecast highs barely breaking 10°F further west in upstate NY. Tomorrow morning is forecast to reach -4°F (-20°C). Thursday onwards looks like it will "normal" cold, with highs around 30°F.

14°F wind wind bringing cold air.

Finally some cold air may be heading for the UK and Ireland by the middle of next week, we have had a lot of cold incursions from the North-west but none sufficient enough to course a genuinely cold coldspell.

Winter so far in my opinion has been pretty average unlike last year

We had a cold spell like that between Christmas and New Year, which recorded the 3 coldest nights of the year. Leaving the house in the morning was horrible.

Sounds pleasant. Left the house when it was -10°C this morning with some wind. Don't think we'll get a morning that mild this month, maybe even till March.
