Didn't feel that horrible out (at 10 am), I'm getting used to this. Was somewhere between 4-7°F with light wind. Glare on the snow hurt my eyes. This will get worse as the sun angle increases. I remember having issues hiking on snow in July and August in the Pacific Northwest. Deep blue sky out, dew point is -10°F.

I been noticing the glare worse too. Walking out in my backyard. I'm wearing the same thing today outside I do on a cool April day. Short Sleeves, Long Sleeve and sweatshirt. No jacket or Scarf, ever! 14°F (-10C) at lunchtime.

Will the southeast get snow next week and we don't???

Umm, I was wearing four layers:

1) Long shirt
2) Sweater
3) Fleece
4) Down Winter coat

Mittens on my hand, thick socks. That's how it didn't feel so bad.

I said cool April day but that might be too warm for then. LOL Have to rethink that one.

Yeah, your #1 & 2 would be enough for me without 3 or 4 for sure. Way too thick and warm for Sweater AND a fleece. I hate sweaters unless I'm going to a party or something.

1) Short Sleeves
2) Long Sleeves (thin)
3) Sweatshirt

Good for all winter around here. I eliminate #2 when its above 25F

This week could be potentially wintry for my area. Crossing my fingers for my first inch in 4 years.

Questions:

1) Why has the Mid-Atlantic (DC) been gyped this winter while NY-BOS have been gold mines?

2) Why is it Boston has gotten so much more snow, relatively speaking, than nearby Providence/Hartford?

Check this out...

Latest GFS.Tuesday.4pmEST. Thin blue Line is the surface freezing line. Thick blue is freezing line for 850mb level. So its below freezing at all levels in northern MS and AL. Definitely wintry weather around!

Then......

Thursday 4pm. Another low, colder temps. Wow to see this that far south. Looks to be mostly for northern gulf states. We'll see...

No constant talk of polar vortex! I know last winter was colder for the midwest and the south than this winter but even this winter local media hasn't kept on talking on the cold like last year.

How do you have so much warmth dude? I wear a sweatshirt if it's under 60F.
