We had snow, sleet, and freezing rain on Monday, sleet on Tuesday, and snow on Wednesday. I can't remember getting wintry precipitation three days in a row before. We also had snow fall on the sleet from the previous storm, one of the only times I can recall that happening. We've had complete or partial snow cover for >60 hours now, but it's never been much deeper than 1". We get that much time with snow cover about every other year, I think.

In Yosemite some nice winter scenes:

at 10,000 feet. Conditions at Tolumne Meadows, 8600 feet

New snow: none
Total settled snow depth: 6 inches as of February 18, 2015 (at 8,600 feet)
High temperature: 63°F (February 12)
Low temperature: 22°F (February 16)

The ski conditions and weather were quite good this week. That is, if you prefer warm, sunny, calm days and you are fortunate enough to be skiing above 9,500 feet

5F here at 6pm. Low -16 tonight, then warming up to 22 tomorrow only to receive an additional 2" of snow.

Betcha that -16 F temperature would be a new record low temperature for your location; In Indianapolis they are forecasting a low tonight of -7 F will see if this forecast verifies as we shall see if your location really gets down to -16 F. -7 F is the coldest it has been in Indianapolis all season so far, and such a cold low temperature is the coldest this late it has been in since March 1980 when ironically the low that time was also a -7 F.

High Temperature only made up to 9 above zero in Indianapolis today, this is a record cold high temperature and the latest in the season with a high temp below 10 above zero since February 21, 1963 when the mercury only climbed to 6 above zero; the old record low high was 12 set 1885.

Our daily record was obliterated. Coldest high for Feb 19 was 19F, today's max was 7. Ties for third coldest maximum all time in the month of February.

Why is it not cooling down???? The temp is still 41F, seems like it's been that way for hours. The sky is clear, the wind is calm, and the dew point is way drier than the temperature. I don't believe this!
