I wouldn't like it. I would miss snow. It would probably be too dry as well.

Yes, they say the same thing about Seattle - New Orleans or St. Louis gets more rain...than Seattle. Yet, we all know that while the total rainfall might be low, there are days....and days....and days...when a light mist or drizzle falls that the rain gauge never measures.
Actually that isn't true. Not only does London get less rainfall than Miami, and less rain days than Miami, but it also has shorter rainfall duration than Miami. You are more likely to get soaked in Miami than London - by far! Yup - an umbrella will be more useful in southern Florida than most of England. I haven't used an umbrella much at all since February - most rainfall this summer has been from short downpours, as opposed to long, drawn-out drizzle.

Shocking, right? Well, not really - unless you're an idiot - like wavehunter007.

The funniest part was 'rainfall that the gauge doesn't measure' lol!

London gets 106 days with precipitation per year, or 145 days if you include morning dew as precipitation.

What's more interesting, however, and something that blows your 'endless drizzle' comments right out of the water, is the fact that London gets 427 hours of precipitation per year, while your beloved Miami gets 453 hours with precipitation falling. Seattle is way out in front with 822 hours.

The wettest part of the UK as far as rain duration is concerned, would be the Western Isles in Scotland, with around 850-900 hours. That's fewer than Portland, OR.

Seeing as the majority of people in southern Britain have type II/III skin.. it is pretty common.

An American once told me that: "If you don't like the weather in England, then it will change in 5 minutes!"
Most of the time that is very true! Though still wish we had a Portuguese climate!
