Heavy and potentially record setting snowfall and its barely past the first week of September not to mention the fact that if this in fact is a f****ing Harbinger for this upcoming winter for the lower 48, this winter just might be last winterx1000 in terms of severity and longevity I might as well stay in Texas for Christmas through Memorial Day, My Family Down There will Love that....

Nah. There is no correlation between September weather and the following winter. We've had mild winters follow cold Septembers and vice-versa. So, there is always hope .
