Continental Subarctic, Dfc.

Anchorage, AK is a real-world city not too far off this description, though winter nights are not quite as cold and about 80 inches of snow per year.

Anchorage is also reasonably sunny, especially between March-June.

I did a comparison once between Anchorage and Seattle to see whose %Sunshine was higher. Anchorage's was lower, overall.

It seems to get more sun in the wintertime than Seattle does, but their summers are cloudier and obviously much cooler.

Based on what I read, anyway

Yup, the winter and spring in Anchorage are usually not cloudy and summer/fall is cloudy.
