My climatic preferences have shifted slightly in the past 10 years. And I'll be giving a 2-week period, since I like variability and one week wouldn't capture this well enough.

Mid winter:

Jan 15: 38/16 F, mostly sunny, 6" snow depth
Jan 16: 31/15 F, 3" snow, 9" snow depth
Jan 17: 18/-4 F, freezing fog, 9" snow depth
Jan 18: 22/3 F, mostly cloudy, 9" snow depth
Jan 19: 35/9 F, sunny, 8" snow depth
Jan 20: 42/27 F, mostly cloudy, 4" snow depth
Jan 21: 35/28 F, 1" snow, 0.2" sleet, 5" snow depth
Jan 22: 41/22 F, mostly sunny, 2" snow depth
Jan 23: 50/32 F, mostly cloudy, scattered afternoon showers, 0.17" rain, no snow depth
Jan 24: 47/34 F, sunny
Jan 25: 34/10 F, 8" snow
Jan 26: 12/-11 F, freezing fog, coldest day of winter, 8" snow depth
Jan 27: 18/-3 F. mostly sunny, 8" snow depth
Jan 28: 22/13 F, 1" snow, 9" snow depth

Mid summer:
July 15: 79/57 F, partly cloudy
July 16: 82/65 F, scattered late afternoon thunderstorms, 0.52" rain
July 17: 84/66 F, partly cloudy
July 18: 90/71 F, mostly cloudy
July 19: 95/72 F, scattered late afternoon/evening thunderstorms, 0.11" rain
July 20: 97/77 F, mostly sunny
July 21: 89/72 F, heavy thunderstorms, 2.04" rain
July 22: 81/56 F, sunny
July 23: 85/61 F, mostly sunny
July 24: 76/62 F, showers, 0.32" rain
July 25: 82/63 F, morning rain, 0.56" rain, clearing up by 10 am then mostly sunny
July 26: 89/68 F, partly cloudy
July 27: 96/76 F, mostly sunny
July 28: 101/80 F, mostly sunny, hottest day of summer

Mid Summer
Monday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...enough to make the hordes of tourists flee in horror and pick a new destination next year
Tuesday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...
Wednesday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...
Thursday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...
Friday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...
Saturday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...
Sunday: Hot as hell, smoky skies from wildfires, falling ash...

Mid Winter
Monday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...enough to make the hordes of tourists flee in horror and pick a new destination next year
Tuesday:Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...
Wednesday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...
Thursday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...
Friday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...
Saturday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...
Sunday: Colder than a witch's teet, roads and sidewalks frozen into skating rinks, gloomy inversions with no sunlight...

I'd embrace a brutal weather week, or even 2 or 3, if it resulted in scaring off the hordes of visitors and newcomers. That would be ideal.
