Haven't they been predicting that this will be a bad winter? Can't remember the exact word they summed it up with. Something that evoked a slushy morass. Also wondering what this winter's new weather phrase will be.
Which is close to summer in the Southern Hemisphere. We had 16 days over 30C in October with only 0.6mm of rain for the entire month. Looking forward to the next few months. i just moved here and I am sweating balls already
Just looked on google earth what on earth did you move to that place for? Its in the middle of the desert and its a small town, Melbourne is larger and better. Never move for climate.

Are you kidding?!? It was his life's dream to move there. Congrats! (Everyone should be entitled to live in the climate of their choice. )
current snowcover map via intellicast. Will repost a few days for comparison. Right now snow is limited to the Upper Midwest. Western mountains don't have any, rather surprised, though it's been a warm summer and early fall there.
Snowing pretty much across the whole of Michigan from Grand Rapids to Saginaw according to radar, EXCEPT for the Detroit area lol, but I think Its coming. Temp diving to the high 30s. I was out in a very cold rain and I saw my breath a smoking lol. I expect it to change to snow in a few hours, or at least by evening. Shall report.

Cool map they are providing. That's taken with the 12z observations I believe judging by the time frame on the top left. There's no way of knowing current snow cover so that should be before or at 8am this morning.
Grab tomorrow's and Sundays to compare but unfortunately many areas will have had it melt by 8am if that's when they grab the data from. I bet they use the F6 data from NWS that shows snow cover.
