Ocean is right past the lighthouse. Since the snow accumulated on land around the lighthouse at the surface I highly doubt the cutoff was the sand on the beach so its snowing over the water and probably out a bit as well. I LOVE seeing snow over the water, it's like you wait for it to accumulate and never happens. LMAO!! Webcam here.

Snow total reports so far. 7" right near the water BoothBay Harbor. For sure its snowing over the 52° water. Just don't know how far out.

12 inches at Bangor!! Not sure if that's the official BGR station. Insane. This was not seen by forecasts or models. Heavy bands are impossible to know

Yup. GFS says it struggles above mid 30s till Wednesday but if the sun is shining it will help the melt. Notice the end of the week... Rain.. unless something changes with the model as there is another recurving typhoon so models don't know how to handle the airmass yet.

But we might be doing this all over again in 10-14 days with cold and snow.

I live in east Tennessee, and from 30 miles away I could see the snow capped peaks. Stunningly beautiful. We have such a variation in weather conditions here, 20-30 degrees warmer in the valley than it is up in the higher elevations. We see the snow on the mountains often, but this is early for it. Snow fell at much lower elevations than one would expect in the south during early November.
