I'd probably say the worst place for me is the recently mentioned Macquarie Island.

What is your least favorite place to live in. If you can, please add a climate chart.

At least it avoids extremes even if a very boring cold and cloudy climate.

Worst, is this place, with the coldest winters of any really populated place.

That is a tough one IMO.

I don't think I would be able to stand the cloud in that island, even a few gloomy days in a row and I start to feel down. A whole year of it, no thanks.

At least I know I would be comfortable in Yakutsk for 3 months as they do get hot weather sometimes.

Heck we have gotten -35C highs here too and you just don't go outside when it is that cold. But you then there is a nice summer to look forward too.

-20C or -35C no difference in my opinion.

Oymyakon is horrific. The only reason people live there is so the Trans Siberian Highway stays open.

Both suck equally bad.

Siberian/Antarctic climates are deadly for the human body.
Tundratic Oceanic year-round sunless, cold drizzly climates are deadly for the mild/soul.

Either Vostok Station or Dallol.

For places that people actually live, Oymyakon or Mecca.

I actually much prefer Yakutsk or South Pole over Macquarie.

Yakutsk has a pleasant summer (13/26°C is nothing to complain about with 340 hours of sun and low precip, plus long days); and even a part of winter is really sunny (232 hours in March at this latitude is impressive).

South Pole has obviously dreadful temperatures but clear skies, plus all the ice would make it feel very bright during the "summer".

Macquarie has NOTHING good - and that sunshine count is worse than any form of cold.

Better than most of Siberia to me.
Actually better than any place that gets 3 or more months with an average high below -5ºC
