Mom lived in London for three months in 1974, and she hated the weather!

I dislike the British climate overall, though I much prefer the southeast over the northwest. Cambridge gets a D whereas Lerwick gets an F. Most places would get between D- and E.

I hate London's climate in the same way I hate Seattle's; way too overcast and way too little sunshine for the amount of rain, and chilly and damp 9 months a year. Summers are just okay even though I prefer a bit warmer.

I don't hate it at all. There are far worse climates mostly in cold continental climates. Seems it is not extreme and more moderate like me. I also think sun can be overrated when it comes in long periods of stable dry weather. I get bored with that.

I only hate the long relatively cold, damp winters. The rest of the year is comfortable enough & summers can be amazing & temperatures in the low to mid 20's are perfect for outdoor activities. Since moving to Malta, as much as I love the heat, months of hot & sticky weather is no good for doing anything (unless you can lounge by a pool all day) in day to day life it can be hell, especially with no air con...

You missed the memo about London getting fewer hours of rain than sun - a statistical fact , not an attempt to make it seem better. And Seattle has over double the rain that London gets, hardly a comparison there. I lived in Berkshire and never considered the climate anything close to damp or rainy, ever. Up here in Buxton, is a different story. If you never lived in SE England you don't know what you're talking about.

Most people just ignore any information if it shows that London is anything other than cold, rainy and windy.

Yes London seems to have the biggest climate misconceptions of any other place in the world on this forum & despite others repeatedly pointing out facts, these misconceptions don't stop...
